15/04/16

ECEG alongside other sectoral representatives, ETUC and industriAll Europe TU was invited to the ad-hoc meeting at the DG TRADE at the European Commission on 15 April to discuss the MES China and possible solutions/methodology to be applied after December 2016.

Most of the sectoral employers’ representatives as well as trade unions expressed their opposition towards the possibility of granting the MES status to China after the transitional arrangement of certain provisions of Section 15 of China’s Protocol of Accession to the WTO on “Price Comparability in determining Subsidies and Dumping” expires as of 12 December 2016.
